When I became a new Christian, I would look at things in my life as just a coincidence. But it was not long before God showed me that there is no such thing as a coincidence in His Kingdom and that all things work together for good. (Ro 8:28). So if you feel that something is a coincidence, then there is a high possibility that God is trying to get your attention. We need to stop and pay attention to what is happening around us. Encountering God is not about the big things but the small stuff, and if you are just waiting for the big to arrive, you might be waiting for a very long time.
For many people, coincidence and circumstance are just everyday things happening in their life, which will seem like things are coming together quicker or easier than usual. But this is not true; it is God moving through our circumstances all the time. He wants to be part of our lives, but we spend so much time fighting Him that we miss what He is trying to do in our lives. If your life is not rightly lined up, or if you are off the path just a little, then you count on it that God is moving in your life through coincidence or circumstances more than you know. He will do whatever He can to get you back on the path and walking closer to Him.
Take some time this week to stop and pay attention to what is going on around you, and you will see where God is moving in your midst, and where you could join Him and enjoy the encounter. God is always looking for our help and wants us to be part of the walk. Begin to ask Him questions about what is happening around you so that you can get on the same page as Him and grow closer together. Remember it is all about relationship and learning to walk with God.
